National Hangeul Museum於2014年在龍山的National Museum of Korea旁開館,透過書法、歷史手稿及互動展廳,呈現韓文(Hangeul)的發展歷程——這套韓文字母由King Sejong the Great於1443年創製。館藏約有9萬件文物,涵蓋韓文字母的創製、殖民統治期間遭受的打壓,以及在現代的全球傳播;館內亦設有兒童博物館及Hangeul學習中心。2025年2月1日,擴建工程期間發生火災,建築物嚴重受損。博物館現正閉館進行結構維修及擴建,計劃於2028年10月重開;期間展覽及教育活動會在首爾各地的合作場地繼續舉行。
