National Museum of Egyptian Civilization（NMEC）於2021年4月3日開幕，坐落於Old Cairo歷史悠久的Fustat區，緊鄰Ain El-Sira Lake湖畔。博物館佔地約14公頃，是阿拉伯世界首座全面呈現一個文明完整歷史的博物館。館藏約50,000件文物，按主題分佈於多個展廊，內容涵蓋文明的起源、尼羅河、文字、國家與社會、物質文化，以及信仰與思想。館內焦點所在是位於下層的Royal Mummies Hall，收藏22位皇室木乃伊，包括Ramesses II、Hatshepsut與Thutmose III，這些木乃伊皆於2021年舉世矚目的Golden Parade活動中，由Tahrir Square的Egyptian Museum移送至此。館內其他設施包括紡織品博物館、古代染坊、臨時展覽廳、圖書館、咖啡廳及禮品店。
