自1932年起,Museo Nacional de Artes Decorativas 便设于 Calle Montalbán 的一座旧宫殿内。博物馆分布在五层楼约60个展厅中,呈现16至20世纪欧洲与亚洲装饰艺术的发展脉络。馆内最具代表性的看点,是一间完整复原的18世纪瓦伦西亚厨房,墙面铺设了1500多块手绘瓷砖;此外还设有再现贵族日常生活的历史室内空间,并收藏家具、陶瓷、玻璃器、纺织品,以及颇具规模的中国和日本装饰艺术。博物馆于1912年以 National Museum of Industrial Arts 之名创立,至今仍是马德里“黄金三角”区域内较为清静的文化机构之一,距离 Prado 和 Retiro 花园仅几步之遥。
