Założone przez króla Luísa w 1863 roku i mieszczące się od 1962 roku w kompleksie Jerónimos Monastery Museu de Marinha opowiada historię Portugalii i jej związków z morzem – od żeglugi wojskowej i handlowej po rybołówstwo oraz rekreację. Na wystawie prezentowanych jest około 2500 z ponad 18 000 obiektów, od modeli statków z epoki odkryć geograficznych i przyrządów nawigacyjnych po królewskie kajuty jachtu Amélia. W rozległym Galeotas Pavilion znajdują się XVIII-wieczne barki królewskie, tradycyjne łodzie oraz samolot-amfibia Santa Cruz, który w 1922 roku odbył pierwszy lotniczy przelot przez południowy Atlantyk.
