Muzeum Fundação Arpad Szenes – Vieira da Silva, otwarte w 1994 roku, poświęcone jest portugalskiej malarce Marii Helenie Vieira da Silva oraz jej urodzonemu na Węgrzech mężowi Arpadowi Szenesowi. Przez ponad pięć dekad wspólnie żyli i pracowali w Paryżu, Rio de Janeiro i Lizbonie. Muzeum mieści się w dawnej Królewskiej Fabryce Jedwabiu, wzniesionej z inicjatywy markiza Pombala po trzęsieniu ziemi w 1755 roku i przekształconej w pełne spokoju, jasne galerie. Kolekcja obejmuje malarstwo, rysunek i grafikę obojga artystów, a także dzieła ich przyjaciół i współczesnych, prezentowane w zmieniających się cyklach wystaw wraz z pracami artystów współczesnych. Dawny dom i pracownia Vieira da Silva – Casa-Atelier w pobliskiej dzielnicy Alto de São Francisco – są również dostępne dla zwiedzających bezpłatnie.
