Bröhan-Museum wywodzi się z prywatnych zbiorów przedsiębiorcy Karla H. Bröhana, który po raz pierwszy udostępnił je publiczności w 1973 roku w swojej willi w Dahlem, a w 1983 roku przeniósł do dawnych koszar wchodzących w skład zespołu pałacowego Charlottenburg Palace; od 1994 roku placówka ma status muzeum państwowego Berlina. Jej zbiory secesji o międzynarodowej renomie obejmują meble projektowane przez Hectora Guimarda i Louisa Majorelle’a, porcelanę z manufaktur w Meissen, Sèvres i Royal Copenhagen, a także szkło artystyczne Émile’a Gallégo oraz Daum. Kolekcję uzupełniają obiekty w stylu art déco i funkcjonalizmu z lat 20. i 30. XX wieku oraz dzieła malarzy związanych z Berliner Secession.
