Museo Sorolla occupa la casa e lo studio che il pittore valenciano Joaquín Sorolla fece costruire per la sua famiglia all’inizio del XX secolo. Gli ambienti sono rimasti pressoché come li lasciò l’artista e ospitano le sue scene della costa spagnola e della vita familiare, colme di luce. Attualmente il museo è chiuso per un importante ampliamento e intervento di adeguamento dell’accessibilità, progettato dagli architetti Nieto Sobejano, che porterà quasi a raddoppiare gli spazi espositivi grazie a nuove gallerie e a un auditorium. La riapertura è prevista per ottobre 2026, con una prima fase dedicata alle nuove ali; la casa storica seguirà in una seconda fase di ristrutturazione.
