Matadero Madrid è un centro per la creazione contemporanea ospitato nei padiglioni neomudejar dell’antico mattatoio e mercato del bestiame municipale di Madrid, costruiti tra il 1911 e il 1925 dall’architetto Luis Bellido e riconvertiti dopo la chiusura del mattatoio nel 1996. Riaperto nel 2006, oggi accoglie nelle sue navate installazioni artistiche site-specific, un centro di design, un archivio cinematografico, un programma di danza e musica e residenze per artisti, oltre a vasti cortili affacciati sul fiume, aperti al pubblico.
