La Sala Recoletos di Fundación MAPFRE occupa il Palacio de la Duquesa de Medina de las Torres, una residenza degli anni Ottanta dell’Ottocento sul Paseo de Recoletos, e dal 2008 ospita il programma espositivo temporaneo della fondazione. I suoi spazi espositivi, estesi su circa 1.000 m², accolgono grandi mostre in prestito dedicate alla pittura e alla scultura tra la fine dell’Ottocento e gli inizi del Novecento, oltre che alla fotografia classica e contemporanea. Dal 2022, dopo la chiusura dello spazio fotografico Bárbara de Braganza, gestito separatamente dalla fondazione, tutte le mostre della fondazione a Madrid sono concentrate qui.
