Il centro di documentazione Topography of Terror sorge sull'area che un tempo ospitava i comandi centrali della Gestapo, dei vertici delle SS del Reich e dell'Ufficio centrale per la sicurezza del Reich lungo la Prinz-Albrecht-Straße. La mostra permanente ripercorre la struttura dell'apparato di polizia e delle SS e i crimini perpetrati in tutta Europa, mentre un percorso all'aperto e un camminamento espositivo lungo i resti murari delle cantine riportate alla luce approfondiscono la storia del sito e di Berlino sotto il regime nazionalsocialista. Il complesso conserva inoltre uno dei tratti originari più lunghi ancora intatti del Muro di Berlino. L'ingresso è gratuito.
