Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson

Die 2003 von Henri Cartier-Bresson, seiner Frau, der Fotografin Martine Franck, und ihrer Tochter Melanie gegründete Stiftung bewahrt die Archive beider Fotografen – über 50.000 Abzüge und 200.000 Negative. Seit 2018 ist sie in einem hohen, schmalen Atelier von 1913 in der rue des Archives im Marais untergebracht, das weit mehr Raum für Ausstellungen und Studien bietet als der ursprüngliche Sitz in Montparnasse. Rund vier Einzelausstellungen im Jahr widmen sich Fotografen, Malern, Bildhauern und Illustratoren, und alle zwei Jahre wird der HCB Award verliehen. Ein Fixpunkt für alle, die sich in Paris ernsthaft mit Fotografie beschäftigen.
