Das ehemalige Museum of London eröffnet Ende 2026 in West Smithfield neu, untergebracht in zwei wunderschön umgebauten viktorianischen Markthallen. Der Umzug verschafft ihm deutlich mehr Raum, um die Geschichte Londons zu erzählen – von den römischen Ursprüngen bis zur Gegenwart. Den Auftakt bilden die Dauerausstellungen im Gebäude des General Market; der Flügel des Poultry Market mit Sonderausstellungen folgt 2028. Ein Museum, neu geboren.
