Das Museu de Lisboa erzählt an fünf Standorten die Geschichte der Stadt. Sein Hauptsitz ist der Pimenta Palace, ein Sommerpalast aus dem 18. Jahrhundert in Campo Grande. Die Dauerausstellung zeichnet anhand von Karten, Modellen, Gemälden, Fliesen und Alltagsgegenständen die Entwicklung Lissabons nach – von den ersten Siedlungen im Paläolithikum bis zur Erneuerung des Parque das Nações im 20. Jahrhundert. Im Palast gibt es außerdem zwei Räume für Wechselausstellungen, den Black Pavilion und den Backroom, sowie Gärten mit einem Kiosk. Zum Museumsverbund gehören außerdem das Roman Theatre, das Saint Anthony museum, die Casa dos Bicos und der West Tower.
