Inaugurat el 2006 i dissenyat per Jean Nouvel, el Musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac està dedicat a les arts i cultures indígenes d'Àfrica, Àsia, Oceania i Amèrica. La seva col·lecció aplega més d'un milió d'objectes, dels quals uns 3.500 es mostren alhora al llarg d'una galeria sinuosa i tènuement il·luminada a la vora del riu, prop de la Torre Eiffel. L'edifici està envoltat d'un jardí i d'un mur vegetal viu obra del botànic Patrick Blanc, fet que converteix el museu en una fita de l'arquitectura contemporània per si mateix.
