MoMA PS1 és una de les institucions d'art contemporani sense ànim de lucre més antigues i grans dels Estats Units, fundada el 1971 per Alanna Heiss en un antic edifici d'escola pública a Long Island City, Queens. Vinculada al Museum of Modern Art des de l'any 2000, defensa l'obra experimental, emergent i trencadora a través de les galeries laberíntiques, les escales i el soterrani del seu històric edifici escolar de maó. És coneguda per l'exposició periòdica Greater New York, dedicada als artistes locals, pel cicle musical d'estiu Warm Up, i pel Meeting Skyspace de James Turrell, instal·lat de manera permanent. Des del gener de 2026, l'entrada és gratuïta per a tothom.
