يقع Museo Nacional de Artes Decorativas منذ عام 1932 في قصر سابق بشارع Calle Montalbán، متتبعاً مسار الفنون الزخرفية الأوروبية والآسيوية من القرن السادس عشر حتى القرن العشرين عبر ما يقارب 60 قاعة موزعة على خمسة طوابق. وتعد درة مقتنياته مطبخاً بلنسياً أُعيد بناؤه بالكامل يعود إلى القرن الثامن عشر، يكسوه أكثر من 1,500 بلاطة مرسومة يدوياً، إلى جانب قاعات تاريخية تُحاكي تفاصيل الحياة اليومية للطبقة الأرستقراطية، بما تضمه من أثاث وخزف وزجاج ومنسوجات، بالإضافة إلى مجموعة متميزة من الفنون الزخرفية الصينية واليابانية. تأسس المتحف عام 1912 تحت اسم المتحف الوطني للفنون الصناعية، ولا يزال حتى اليوم واحداً من أهدأ الصروح الثقافية في منطقة المثلث الذهبي للفنون في Madrid، على بعد خطوات قليلة من Prado وحدائق Retiro.
