يُعد هذا الصرح أول متحف عام في برلين؛ صممه Karl Friedrich Schinkel وافتُتح عام 1830، ويطل على Lustgarten بواجهة مهيبة تضم ثمانية عشر عموداً أيونياً وقاعة مستديرة ذات قبة تحاكي مبنى Pantheon في روما. يحتضن المتحف المعرض الدائم لمقتنيات Antikensammlung من آثار الحضارات الإغريقية والإتروسكية والرومانية، ومن أبرز معروضاته تمثال Berlin Goddess، وتمثال Praying Boy، بالإضافة إلى صور شخصية لكل من Caesar وCleopatra. وتضم «الغرفة الزرقاء» الثانية أكثر من 1300 عملة معدنية أثرية من مقتنيات Münzkabinett، بينما يشتمل الطابق العلوي على واحدة من كبرى مجموعات الآثار الإتروسكية خارج إيطاليا.
