Most workplaces, Salt points out, are closed spaces with "no admittance except on business". Metehan Özcan's contribution is the paperwork that got out anyway: job advertisements and factory yearbooks, gathered into an archive he calls Vasıfsız (Unskilled).

Seven artists and groups read production at different scales, from the worker's body to global supply chains. belit sağ follows the privatisation and closure of the Sümerbank Bakırköy cloth factory. Kamil Dalkır and Sibel Karadağ go to Istanbul's recycling yards, where workers sort plastic waste shipped in from Europe. Sultan Gökdemir documents the workers' protests that spread across Turkey in 1989, and Tamar Levit and Yaën S. Levi work with the Çalışan Eller choir on textile workers' fight for their rights.

You don't need a ticket: it's free, starting on the entrance floor and continuing to the first floor and the Mastercard exhibition space. Go up to the third floor afterwards, where Out of the archive shows the factories themselves, as architects drew them from the 1930s to the 1970s.
