Camille Henrot, Paper Planes

正在展出2026年6月5日 – 2026年12月31日·kr 140

Camille Henrot's largest Scandinavian solo show spans film, sculpture, painting and installation, led by the Scandinavian premiere of her film In the Veins.

In one corner, thirteen dogs stand on their leads on a blue running track, as if a dog walker had just stepped away. They're matted wool, wax, metal and wood. One is a chain, and another has pliers for a head.

This is Henrot's largest show in Scandinavia, built around her 35-minute film In the Veins, which cuts between injured wild birds learning to fly again and her own children at bath time and bedtime. Around it sit two monumental Abacus bronzes, paintings lifted from etiquette manuals, scrolls of printed spam and Interphones. You pick up a receiver for advice about a manipulative dog, and the sympathetic voice soon wants your personal details.

Politiken gave it five hearts, and Art in America's Emily Watlington called the film "worth the wait". Entry is the CC ticket, 140 DKK at the desk with no booking, and Thursdays run to 21:00. CC is closed on 31 December, the last date, so 30 December is the final day.

  • The thirteen leashed dogs

Look for dogs of matted wool, wax, metal and wood held on leads over a blue running track, one formed from a chain and one with pliers for a head.

  • In the Veins

In the 35-minute film, injured birds try flying again with the help of a human hand, and a child's bathwater, dyed red, spirals down the drain.

  • Interphones

Pick up a phone for help with a manipulative dog or a possibly unfaithful partner, and the caring automated voice soon turns into a request for personal information.

  • Office of Unreplied Emails

Printed emails of the kind that pile up in an inbox's 'other' folder run on long scrolls, a one-sided stream of spam sentimentality.

  • The Abacus bronzes

Two monumental bronzes, shown in Europe for the first time, bend curved rods and movable beads into organic, almost bodily forms.

适合

  • 夜间参观
  • 外地访客
