Boston Children's Museum 创立于1913年,是美国历史第二悠久的儿童博物馆,自1979年起便坐落于 Fort Point Channel 旁的 Children's Wharf 水岸之滨。馆外广场上矗立着 Hood Milk Bottle——这座高40英尺、重达15,000磅的木质冰淇淋售卖亭于1933年在 Taunton 建成,1977年迁至此处,成为 Boston 最具奇趣色彩的地标之一。步入馆内,三层充满巧思的互动展区精彩纷呈:从专为该馆于1985年首次打造的三层 Luckey Climber 攀爬雕塑 New Balance Foundation Climb,到由友好城市赠予并由日本传统木匠在 Boston 重新组装的原版两层 Kyoto 丝绸商人町屋 Kyo-no-Machiya,不一而足。全馆展陈融汇科学与工程、艺术、文化、健康以及早期启蒙探索,并专门为三岁以下幼儿设有专属活动空间。
