Seodaemun Prison History Hall

Zbudowane w 1908 roku przez cesarską Japonię jako Gyeongseong Gamok, to więzienie z czerwonej cegły przez 80 lat panowania kolonialnego, podziału kraju i dyktatury przetrzymywało koreańskich działaczy niepodległościowych – wśród nich nastoletnią męczennicę Yu Gwan-sun – zanim zamknięto je w 1987 roku. Zachowało się jedenaście oryginalnych budynków, w tym pawilony więzienne, podziemna katownia, wieże strażnicze oraz budynek egzekucyjny z ukrytym tunelem, którym usuwano ciała. Od 1998 roku działa tu muzeum historyczne i park pamięci, poświęcone walce Korei o niepodległość oraz jej nowoczesnej historii politycznej.
