Museo Sorolla mieści się w domu i pracowni, które walencki malarz Joaquín Sorolla zbudował dla swojej rodziny na początku XX wieku. Pomieszczenia zachowano w dużej mierze w stanie, w jakim pozostawił je artysta, a ich ściany zdobią pełne światła sceny z hiszpańskiego wybrzeża i życia rodzinnego. Obecnie muzeum jest zamknięte z powodu zakrojonej na dużą skalę rozbudowy oraz prac mających poprawić jego dostępność, prowadzonych przez pracownię architektoniczną Nieto Sobejano. Po ich zakończeniu powierzchnia wystawiennicza zwiększy się mniej więcej dwukrotnie dzięki nowym galeriom i audytorium. Ponowne otwarcie planowane jest na październik 2026 roku; pierwszy etap obejmie nowe skrzydła, natomiast zabytkowy dom zostanie udostępniony po zakończeniu drugiego etapu renowacji.
