Museu Nacional do Azulejo przedstawia historię azulejo – portugalskich szkliwionych płytek ceramicznych – od końca XV wieku po współczesność, a także prezentuje ceramikę, porcelanę i fajans. Muzeum mieści się w dawnym Madre de Deus Convent, założonym w 1509 roku przez królową Leonor. Do najważniejszych elementów zwiedzania należą manierystyczny krużganek, bogato złocony górny chór oraz pełen dekoracji kościół. Wśród najcenniejszych obiektów znajduje się Great Panorama of Lisbon – wykonany z azulejos widok miasta sprzed trzęsienia ziemi z 1755 roku. Od listopada 2025 roku muzeum jest zamknięte z powodu prac remontowych prowadzonych w ramach portugalskiego Planu Odbudowy i Zwiększania Odporności (PRR); data ponownego otwarcia nie została jeszcze potwierdzona.
