Il celebre museo berlinese dedicato all'architettura monumentale antica, eretto tra il 1910 e il 1930 per accogliere l'Altare di Pergamo, la Porta del mercato di Mileto e la Porta di Ishtar. L'edificio principale sulla Museum Island è completamente chiuso dal 23 ottobre 2023 per importanti interventi di ristrutturazione. Attualmente è possibile visitare Pergamonmuseum. Das Panorama, situato a pochi passi in Am Kupfergraben 2, che espone circa 80 sculture originali di Pergamo insieme alla veduta panoramica a 360° dell'antica città realizzata da Yadegar Asisi. L'ala nord e il corpo centrale, comprendenti l'Altare di Pergamo e il Museum für Islamische Kunst, riapriranno il 4 giugno 2027. L'ala sud, con la Porta di Ishtar, rimarrà invece chiusa fino al 2037.
