Il Bröhan-Museum nasce dalla collezione privata dell'imprenditore Karl H. Bröhan, che la espose per la prima volta nella sua villa di Dahlem nel 1973, per poi trasferirla nel 1983 in un'ex caserma parte del complesso di Charlottenburg Palace; dal 1994 è un museo statale di Berlino. La sua prestigiosa raccolta di Art Nouveau, di rilievo internazionale, vanta mobili di Hector Guimard e Louis Majorelle, porcellane di Meissen, Sèvres e Royal Copenhagen, oltre a vetri di Emile Gallé e Daum. Completano il percorso espositivo opere di Art Déco e design funzionalista degli anni Venti e Trenta, insieme a dipinti della Berlin Secession. Il museo si prepara a un intervento di ristrutturazione integrale che prenderà il via nella primavera del 2027.
