Tokyo Metropolitan Edo-Tokyo Museum מתחקה אחר השינוי שעברה העיר מתקופת Edo ועד ימינו באמצעות שחזורים בגודל מלא, דגמים מפורטים בקנה מידה וחפצים מחיי היומיום. תערוכת הקבע, מאבני הדרך של המוזיאון, משתרעת על פני שתי קומות ונפתחת בהעתק בגודל טבעי של גשר Nihonbashi, לפני שהיא מובילה את המבקרים דרך Edo Zone ו־Tokyo Zone. המוזיאון נפתח מחדש ב־31 במרץ 2026, לאחר שהיה סגור כמעט ארבע שנים לצורך השיפוץ רחב־ההיקף הראשון שלו מאז פתיחתו ב־1993; על עיצוב החללים הופקד האדריכל Shohei Shigematsu.
