teamLab Planets TOKYO ist ein immersives Museum für digitale Kunst, in dem sich Besucherinnen und Besucher barfuß durch knietiefes Wasser, Räume voller Spiegel und scheinbar unendliche Spiegelungen sowie von projiziertem Licht durchdrungene, lebendige Gärten bewegen. Das Museum wurde vom Künstlerkollektiv teamLab gemeinsam mit DMM.com geschaffen, 2018 eröffnet und im Januar 2025 um das 1,5-Fache erweitert – mit den neuen Bereichen Athletics Forest und Catching and Collecting Forest. Es gibt keinen festgelegten Ausstellungsrundgang, den man aus der Distanz betrachtet: Der Körper wird zum Teil jedes grenzenlosen, sich unablässig wandelnden Kunstwerks.
