Das 1994 auf dem Gelände des ehemaligen Armeehauptquartiers in Yongsan gegründete War Memorial of Korea dokumentiert die koreanische Militärgeschichte von prähistorischen Konflikten über den Koreakrieg bis in die Zeit danach. Sieben Ausstellungshallen im Gebäude zeigen rund 10.000 der insgesamt 33.000 Sammlungsobjekte. Dazu gehören die Ehrentafel in der Memorial Hall, Dioramen zu Kriegsschauplätzen sowie Räume zum Koreakrieg und zu den koreanischen Auslandseinsätzen. In der Military Equipment Zone unter freiem Himmel sind auf dem Gelände Panzer, Flugzeuge und gepanzerte Fahrzeuge ausgestellt. Außerdem gibt es ein Children's Museum.
