Das RAF Museum liegt auf dem Gelände des ehemaligen London Aerodrome in Hendon und beherbergt eine wirklich beeindruckende Luftfahrtsammlung. Über 80 Flugzeuge füllen mehrere riesige Hangars – von einer Sopwith Camel bis zum Eurofighter Typhoon, dazu eine Spitfire, ein Lancaster-Bomber und das Cockpit einer Vulcan, in dem man Platz nehmen darf. Der Weg in den Norden Londons ist zwar etwas weiter, dafür ist der Eintritt völlig kostenlos und es geht deutlich weniger gedrängt zu als in den zentralen Museen. Besonders bei Familien beliebt sind die interaktiven Flugsimulatoren.
