Creat el 1994 a l’antic emplaçament del quarter general de l’exèrcit, a Yongsan, el War Memorial of Korea documenta la història militar de Corea des dels conflictes prehistòrics fins a la Guerra de Corea i més enllà. Set sales interiors exposen unes 10.000 de les 33.000 peces de la col·lecció, entre les quals hi ha la llista d’honor del Memorial Hall, diorames de guerra i sales dedicades a la Guerra de Corea i a les forces expedicionàries coreanes a l’estranger. A l’aire lliure, la Military Equipment Zone ocupa el recinte amb tancs, avions i vehicles blindats; el complex també acull el Children's Museum.
