L’edifici principal de Seosomun del Seoul Museum of Art és darrere del palau Deoksugung, al centre de Seül. La façana del jutjat de 1928, d’estil renaixentista, s’ha conservat com a entrada a una ala moderna d’exposicions, afegida el 2002. Des que va obrir el 1988, el SeMA s’ha consolidat com la principal institució d’art contemporani de la ciutat, amb grans exposicions d’art coreà i internacional repartides en tres plantes d’exposició i una sala al soterrani. La façana arquejada de l’antic jutjat està protegida com a bé patrimonial: el 2006 va ser declarada bé cultural de Seül núm. 237.
