The Met Cloisters és la seu del Metropolitan Museum of Art dedicada a l'art i l'arquitectura de l'Europa medieval. Enclavat dalt d'un turó al Fort Tryon Park, amb vistes al Hudson River, entrellaça elements de quatre claustres francesos amb capelles, jardins i unes 5.000 obres que abasten des de l'època bizantina fins al primer Renaixement. La seva obra mestra més coneguda és el conjunt dels set Tapissos de l'Unicorn, exposats junt amb el Retaule de Mérode i l'Absis romànic de Fuentidueña. L'edifici i bona part de la col·lecció van ser donació de John D. Rockefeller Jr., i va obrir les portes al públic el 1938.
