El National September 11 Memorial & Museum s'aixeca a l'emplaçament de les antigues Torres Bessones, a Lower Manhattan, i commemora les víctimes dels atemptats de l'11 de setembre de 2001 i de l'atac amb bomba al World Trade Center de 1993. Dos estanys bessons commemoratius, situats dins l'empremta de les torres, estan envoltats de parapets de bronze on hi ha gravats els noms de les 2.983 víctimes. Sota terra, el museu exhibeix més de 14.000 objectes, entre els quals hi ha acer original de les torres, l'Escala dels Supervivents (Survivors' Staircase) i l'Última Columna (Last Column), juntament amb testimonis orals i enregistraments d'arxiu. Un pavelló de vidre ratllat dissenyat per Snohetta marca l'entrada.
