شُيدت قاعة State Hall للإمبراطور Charles VI بين عامي 1723 و1726 وفقاً لتصاميم Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach، واستكمل بناءها ابنه Joseph Emanuel، لتصبح واحدة من أروع قاعات المكتبات التاريخية وأكثرها إبهاراً في العالم. وتحت لوحة الفريسكو التي تزين القبة بريشة Daniel Gran وتصور تمجيد الإمبراطور، تحتضن رفوف خشب الجوز نحو 200,000 مجلد طُبعت بين عامي 1501 و1850، من بينها مكتبة Prince Eugene of Savoy التي تضم حوالي 15,000 كتاب. كما تزدان القاعة بتماثيل رخامية أبدعها الأخوان Strudel وأربعة مجسمات كروية من صنع Coronelli، وتستضيف أيضاً أهم المعارض المؤقتة للمكتبة.
