تأسست SongEun Art Space عام 1989 على يد SONGEUN Art and Cultural Foundation، وهي مساحة غير ربحية للفن المعاصر تدعم الفنانين الكوريين الصاعدين. ويقع مقرّها المثلث اللافت في تشونغدام دونغ، وقد صمّمه Herzog & de Meuron واكتمل بناؤه عام 2021؛ وكان أول مشروع تنفّذه الشركة السويسرية في كوريا. ومنذ عام 2001، تدعم جائزة SONGEUN Art Award، وهي الجائزة الأبرز للمؤسسة، الفنانين الكوريين المعاصرين. أما واجهة المبنى الخرسانية ذات الملمس المحاكي لعروق الخشب، فتستحضر معنى اسمه: «شجرة الصنوبر الخفية».
