يقع Giza Pyramid Complex على حدود الصحراء الغربية مطلًّا على القاهرة، وهو الموقع الأثري الأكثر تمثيلًا لمصر. شُيّد المجمّع في عصر الأسرة الرابعة من عصر المملكة القديمة (نحو 2613–2494 ق.م)، ويتمحور حول ثلاثة أهرامات ضخمة: هرم خوفو الأكبر (بلغ ارتفاعه الأصلي 146.5 مترًا، وكان أطول بناء في العالم على مدى 3800 عام)، وهرم خفرع (143.5 مترًا، وما زالت قمّته تحتفظ ببعض الكسوة الحجرية الجيرية الأصلية)، وهرم منقرع الأصغر (65 مترًا). ويتربّع تمثال أبو الهول العظيم، المنحوت من الصخر الأصلي بجسد أسد ورأس إنسان، حارسًا للمدخل الشرقي. وتحيط بالأهرامات الرئيسية أهرامات أصغر خاصة بالملكات، ومقابر مصطبة للنبلاء، ومعابد جنائزية ومعابد وادٍ، وطرق موصّلة، وبقايا قرية للعمّال. ويُعدّ الموقع جزءًا من موقع التراث العالمي لليونسكو 'منف ومقابرها' المسجَّل عام 1979. ويمكن للزوّار استكشاف الهضبة، ودخول بعض الأهرامات من الداخل (بالتناوب)، ومشاهدة تمثال أبو الهول والمعابد المرتبطة به.
