Arario Museum in Space occupa l’ex sede del gruppo SPACE Group dell’architetto Kim Swoo-geun, un edificio degli anni Settanta rivestito d’edera e registrato come bene culturale, trasformato in museo nel 2014. Le sue anguste stanze di mattoni, collegate da scale triangolari e a chiocciola, sono dedicate ciascuna a un solo artista, scelto tra le opere della collezione del collezionista CI Kim: tra questi Nam June Paik, Marc Quinn e Barbara Kruger. La mostra inaugurale, «REALLY?», è tuttora visibile a lungo termine, insieme all’installazione di Li Qing «A Suite of Eight Rooms», che ricrea un appartamento d’artista integrato negli ambienti.
