L’Amorepacific Museum of Art (APMA) nasce dalla collezione personale di Suh Sung-whan, fondatore di Amorepacific, che raccolse ceramiche, manufatti artigianali e tessuti legati alle donne, alla cosmetica e alla cultura coreana del tè. Inaugurato nel 1979 con il nome di Pacific Museum e ribattezzato nel 2009, nel 2018 si è trasferito in una galleria ipogea sotto la sede di Amorepacific a Yongsan: un essenziale cubo bianco progettato dal premio Pritzker David Chipperfield. Oggi il museo propone un programma a rotazione che spazia dalle antichità coreane all’arte contemporanea internazionale, affiancato da incontri, pubblicazioni e residenze per giovani artisti e ricercatori.
