Il Museo del Traje è il museo nazionale spagnolo dedicato all’abbigliamento e conserva oltre 160.000 capi, accessori e tessuti, dal Medioevo ai giorni nostri. Le gallerie permanenti accompagnano il visitatore dall’abbigliamento storico e regionale alla haute couture del Novecento firmata da Balenciaga, Fortuny e Pertegaz, affiancata da un vivace programma di mostre temporanee. Il museo ospita anche il Centro de Investigación del Patrimonio Etnológico, centro di ricerca sul patrimonio etnologico spagnolo, e ha sede in un edificio modernista degli anni Settanta nei pressi della Ciudad Universitaria.
