Fundat el 2006 per Mitchell i Emily Wei Rales, Glenstone integra unes 1.300 obres d'art contemporani i de postguerra en un entorn de gairebé 100 hectàrees de prats, boscos i rierols, a uns 25 km al nord-oest del centre de Washington.
