Photography Seoul Museum of Art (Photo SeMA) va obrir a Chang-dong, al districte de Dobong-gu, el maig de 2025, com el primer i únic museu d’art públic de Corea dedicat a la fotografia. Dissenyat per l’arquitecte austríac Mladen Jadric en col·laboració amb el despatx coreà 1990uao, l’edifici de sis plantes presenta una façana sinuosa que evoca imatges pixelades sensibles a la llum. El museu conserva més de 20.000 obres fotogràfiques i materials d’arxiu que recorren la història de la fotografia coreana des de la dècada de 1920, a més de sales d’exposicions, una biblioteca de fotografia, cambres fosques i una cafeteria de fotollibres. L’entrada és gratuïta.
