London Museum

Local HistoryHistoryClosed · Opens 10amFreeFarringdon

Formerly the Museum of London, it's reopening in late 2026 at West Smithfield in two beautifully converted Victorian market buildings. The move gives it dramatically more space to tell London's story — from Roman foundations to the present day. The permanent galleries in the General Market building are the first phase; the Poultry Market wing with temporary exhibitions follows in 2028. A museum reborn.
