The Tower is one of those rare places where every stone has a story — and usually a grim one. Built by William the Conqueror, it's served as a royal residence, armoury, treasury, and execution ground. The Crown Jewels are dazzling (expect queues), the Yeoman Warders deliver genuinely entertaining tours, and the ravens are protected by royal decree. Not cheap, but worth it for the density of history.
